This is the first of my daily blogs, it is a bit on the long side but, stick with me it will get better as we go along. Welcome to my world I hope you will join me on my daily journey.
I am planning a quiet day for tomorrow. It's the weekend after all and I want to relax a little with my hubby. It may not happen as all my best laid plans are usually put to rest, but we will see what tomorrow brings.
See you tomorrow.
BBC Dilemma Over Ding Dong Song
The BBC were in a dilemma regarding the song Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead. The song has reached number one in the charts. The song rose in popularity after the death of Baroness Thatcher.
In a prime example of you can't please all of the people all of the time, the BBC have opted to play a few seconds of the song on Sunday, but they will not play the full song. You're damned if you do and damned if you don't, but you've made the decision. BBC so good luck.
Television
Television has not held much interest for me this week. However, I did watch a film the other night called the Raven. At first I thought it was the old film with Vincent Price and Peter Laurie but when I eventually decided to watch the film it was nothing like the old Raven. It was however, about Edgar Allan Poe and being a fan it got my attention. Had I looked closer I would have noticed that the movie was called The Raven (2012).The film was directed by James McTeigue and starred John Cusack as Edgar Allen Poe and Luke Evans as Detective Fields. The story is based on trying to catch a murderer who is using Poe's story's for inspiration. The Detective enrolls the help of Edgar to try and solve the mystery.
I enjoyed the film very much and would easily watch it again. Nice one Sky.
Project
I have been more organised this week than I have been for ages. I must be settled in to our new home. Nice nieghbours, nice house and nice atmosphere are all contributing to our settling in.I have managed to get a lot done on my project which has been stagnant for a while. The project is writing a full length novel. Despite my frequent bursts of procrastination I am making progress. The novel is a horror but, you won't find vampires or werewolves in it. There will be no chainsaws, giant snakes, crocodiles, monsters, zombies or exorcisms in the novel. It's a horror story with a different angle, and I am giving nothing else away at this stage.
Watch out this year for the finished novel. I will post more on this in future posts.
Close the Door.
I think there has been enough coverage over the celebration street party's to mark the passing of Baroness Thatcher so I will keep this short and sweet. Like many people I was disgusted at those who took part is such a farce. I was ashamed and I wondered what it was all about. I read that a woman called Romney Blythe had been the instigator for the parties, so I took a peak at her Facebook page to try and find some answers. The first post I saw on her Facebook page was complaining about the inaccuracies of the press and she also stated that she had not been a teacher for over 20 years. Thank goodness for that! The next thing I noticed was the name of the person who posted it. Citizen Smith. I could barely continue to read the post for laughing. The name conjured up images of the Tooting Popular Front from the old television program called Citizen Smith. The program was about an unemployed man from Tooting who likens himself to his hero Che Guevara. He leads a small group of followers called the Tooting Popular Front. Their goal is to make Britain a communist country. Of course their chances of that are very slim and the comical situations they got into were hilarious. Robert Lindsay starred as the main character Wolfie Smith.
So in that light there is no way I can take the modern day Citizen Smith seriously. Romney Blythe will get the publicity and go down in history as the person who organised street parties to celebrate the death of the first woman Prime Minister in Britain. On the other hand Romney Blythe could end up being the next Wolfie Smith. Nah, forget that one you can't beat the original.
I think now is the time to close the door on this farcical piece of nonsense created by Citizen Smith and her followers. It's time to concentrate on the serious business of here and now. There are no time machines to enable us to go back and fix mistakes.

Scotland Vote - It's Not All About The Money, Money, Money
It was a nice gesture from Colin and Chris Weir donating £!m to the Yes vote. It showed their commitment and faith for what they believe in. Political campaigns need help for funding and the Yes vote must have been ecstatic to have received such a windfall. The Yes/No vote is not all about the money. It is about the people of Scotland's choice. Even if there were £1 billion put into either vote campaign I doubt very much that the voters would go for the campaign with the most backing. The vote is more about trust, belief and the future of the country than about money for campaigns. Scotland will decide on the day, let's hope we get it right.
